Celtic sea salt is PACKED with essential minerals! Essential! Celtic salt has 84 minerals that the human body needs to function at optimal levels.

Think about that for a second! 84?! Yes, 84. Most people are extremely deficient in the majority, if not all, essential minerals.

After all, we have been trained to focus mainly on vitamins which are different from minerals.

I am in no way saying that vitamins are not important, but they are not the only building blocks essential for life.

Essential minerals consist of copper, magnesium, calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, manganese, phosphorous, chloride, selenium, sodium…etc.

It’s beautiful to think that God provided us with a way to naturally get the necessary minerals that we need. In my humble opion, I prefer to get them through Celtic Salt because it’s safe, easy to take, and affordable.

We all are using salt, so why not recharge the body while doing so.

What is Celtic Sea Salt?

Celtic salt is an unrefined (not processed) salt that is harvested from the sea and has a naturally occurring high amount of essential minerals. When initially harvested, it naturally comes light grey in color and is very coarse in texture.

According to celticseasalt.com, Light Grey Celtic® gets its light grey hue from the pure clay lining of the salt beds where it is harvested. Harvested with three simple ingredients: Sun, wind and human skill – preserving the vast array of vital trace minerals.

Depending on what manufacturer you choose, you can get it in the Light Grey form or the fine ground form.

I personally prefer the fine ground option as it is easier to cook with and ingest internally.

How To Take Celtic Salt

Yes, you can ingest Celtic Salt. Here is a list of the different ways to take it internally.

  • By cooking with it! This is by far the simplest way to make sure you get your Celtic Salt daily. It can be used just as any other salt during the cooking process. I have switched all my salts to more nutritious salts, and cook with Celtic all the time. When cooking, you will need to use a bit more of this salt over other salts to get that flavor your looking for. The good thing is that it enhances the flavor of your food! Yay!
  • You can take it by placing a small amount of the crystals on your tongue first thing in the morning! This is the preferred method according to Barbara O’Neil. Do your research on this if you have any health conditions. Certain health conditions, like high blood pressure, will require you to take this gradually, so please be mindful here.
  • You can take it by placing a small amount directly into your water prior to drinking it. Because of the different types of magnesium in Celtic Salt, you may not get the full benefit of absorption this way. Something to keep in mind.

How Many Times Per Day Should You Take Celtic Salt?

If you are going with “The tongue method” A few crystals before every glass of water should be sufficient. Again, this is the preferred method!

Doing this a few minutes prior to drinking your water will give you the best results.

If you decide on the “the water method”, I would suggest 1 shake into your glass of water prior to drinking it and sip it until gone.

Some days, I make a large 42-ounce bottle of water and do a couple of shakes altogether.

Celtic Salt in Water Benefits

The biggest benefit of taking Celtic Salt in your water is hydration! Hydration, hydration, hydration! When I say hydration, I am talking about your cells drinking.

Did you know that you can drink water all day and still not be hydrated?

Celtic salt helps the delivery of the water directly into your cells. This is hydration! Not to mention, it also helps your body absorb nutirents better!

Celtic salt also helps with digestion, energy levels, hormonal imbalances, balancing blood pressure, maintaining hydration, and overall balance in the body.

According to Barbara O’Neil, “Proper hydration and salt intake are essential for efficient gaseous exchange in the body, as dehydration can lead to respiratory issues, headaches, and lower back pain”.

Final Thoughts: Using Celtic Sea Salt

Before you go, I’d like to encourage you to start listening to Barbara O’Neil! She is an anointed powerhouse with a wealth of information on Holistic Health and God’s design for the body.

Also, there is no need to worry about having an unbalanced amount of salt as Celtic Salt is COMPLETELY different in composition to traditional table salts.

Table salt is highly processed and can be dangerous, which causes high blood pressure and etc. Plus, table salt only has 2 minerals!

Check out this article from Barbara O’Neil on table salt, Celtic salt, and salts in general. Click here.

Lastly, there are several brands out there and they are NOT created equal. I prefer (along with mostly everyone) the original Celtic Salt. Check it out here from iHerb.

Because the word has spread, it can be hard to find sometimes. If you end up having to wait for your order, I would suggest Redmond Real Salt as a great alternative. Check it out here.
