What Does The Bible Say About Female Empowerment?
Okay, let’s start of by answering this question: How many times is the word woman mentioned in the bible?
The word woman is written in the bible 360 times. Woman’s is written 7 times, and womankind is written 1 time.
In addition to that, the word women is written 178 times, women’s 1 time, and womenservants 3 times.
All together the bible mentions a woman in some fashion 550 times.
There are no specific scriptures that use the word female empowerment; however, that’s a pretty strong number. It does signify the importance of a woman PLUS that’s not counting the words she and her.
Let’s look at two situations where a woman was empowered/given the power to do something specific in the word.
The empowerment of Mary, the mother of Jesus
I want to talk about this account because Mary was given the power and strength to carry out the assignment of being the mother of Jesus.
An angel appeared to her in Luke and told her that she was highly favored, that she was blessed, and that the fruit of her womb was blessed.
How empowering is it for this woman to be chosen by God to carry out this sacred act. Not only that, but God knew he could trust her with this assignment.

The empowerment of the woman at Jacob’s Well
The woman at the well, although she is not named, was empowered by her encounter with Jesus.
Jesus was not “supposed” to be talking to women according to the Jewish religion. This woman was a Samaritan, a sinner, and a woman. Which some considered too low and not worthy of a Jewish man’s attention.
The beautiful thing here is that Jesus spoke with her anyway as he saw her as a daughter of God and not some insignificant woman.
Her encounter with Jesus was so significant that she received power and boldness to go back and tell everyone else in her town what Jesus had done for her.
Because of her testimony, many others came to believe in Jesus Christ.

It’s important to understand that we as women get our empowerment from God! God empowers us to get wealth, to carry out the earthly assignments that he has given us, preach the gospel, be a mother, and convert others into believers in our daily lives.

Prayer For Women Empowerment (Prayer For Women’s Strength)
Dear heavenly father, I thank you for giving me the strength to carry out your purposes and plan for my life.
Thank you for entrusting me to be a woman as I reside here on this earth. I do not take this honor lightly.
I thank you that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. May my soul always know that!
May I use my hands to build my home and not to tear it down. May I bless and bring peace and comfort to all those around me.
I pray that my actions are kind and that my motives are pure before you Lord.
God, grant me abundant power, strength, and wisdom to make proper decisions and to notice those you send across my path to help.
May I receive power from the Holy Spirit to overcome this world, its comparisons, and its judgments.
May I receive a revelation on the love you have for me. This I pray in Jesus name.
Amen!

The journey of empowerment starts from within. It’s about recognizing our own worth, strengths, and unique qualities. When we embrace who we are, flaws and all, we unlock a tremendous source of inner strength. It’s like tapping into an infinite reservoir of potential that allows us to conquer any obstacle that comes our way.

Dear Khrystal,
Thank you so much for the empowerment that you have given me, and other women of God, this is rich treasure indeed. I have been empowered with fresh knowledge of God’s Word, and through that have received inner strength. My favourite scriptures are:
1. Psalms 46:5. 2. St Luke 1:45.
When I read both I feel the closeness of God to me. These also remind me that as
women, God is always with us and His kindness and gentleness reminds us that we
are greatly loved by our heavenly Father.
